I just went back to this house to adjust some doors and finally got a snap of the finished job. Looks good. I had to mount the upper cabinet around the chimney stack in the media area, i love seeing the brick inside. I also added a pic of the space when i got there, day 1 of the job.

Here’s a before and after pic of a job I did. After a few months the client wanted more storage so we added these extra cabinets. The original ones had to be taken down and moved to the left. Looks so much better now.

The two base cabinets are ‘floating’ (as in – no legs) and the mirrored upper cabinets are vertical opening.

Both upper and base cabinets need a strong backing behind the drywall to hold the weight. In this case it had nothing, luckily the contractor was very helpful and opened up the wall behind and put in some wood blocking to screw the hanging system into. Very helpful chaps. And may I add, drilling into tile isn’t easy either!
